This website is dedicated to exploring the biblical foundations for church ministry.  My first exploration is going to be on the subject of love.  Some people get hung up on specific structures and forms and methods.  It seems like a very western kind of thing to do.  What I find scripture saying is the most important property in the community life of the church is love.  I’m not saying loving one another is more important than faith in Christ and all the precious things that God has made available to us through that faith.  I’m saying the most important manifestation of Christ in our interpersonal relationships is love.

I believe this because the scriptures themselves often speak of the important of love above other things.

Rom 13:8  NET

Owe no one anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.Rom 13:9  For the commandments,7 “Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not covet,”8 (and if there is any other commandment) are summed up in this, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”9Rom 13:10  Love does no wrong to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
